We are here because we believe fashion should be as comfortable as it is beautiful.

We are here because our Founder thought this would be a fun way to celebrate the memory of her mom, Adaora Edith Orizu, a London trained Fashion Designer, who fervently shared the same belief.

She nervously shared the idea with her sisters and they agreed! And just like that, Ada & Edith was born.

Ukonwa Ojo

Ukonwa Ojo is the CEO and founder of Zaia Ventures, a Venture Studio committed to creating delightful products and services for communities that have been largely ignored by the mainstream. Her frustration with a male dominated fashion industry creating clothes for women that didn't always fit the lives we actually lived, gave her the courage to create Ada & Edith.

Prior to her entrepreneurial journey, she was the Global Chief Marketing Officer and US General Manager for Amazon Prime Video & Studios. During her tenure, she combined data driven/analytical decision-making, cross-functional team leadership, and award-winning creativity to deliver the best performance in Prime Video history.

She has also served as the Global Chief Marketing Officer for M.A.C Cosmetics and Coty Consumer Beauty and Global Brand President for COVERGIRL. During her career, she has won over 60 awards and honors, including Forbes World’s Most Influential CMOs, Financial Times Top 100 list of Minority Executives for three consecutive years, WWD’s Brand Builder of the Year, Ebony Magazine’s Power 100 and Essence Black Women in Hollywood.
